Lockup for MDA
On December 4 Nate was "locked up" to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). Volunteers reported for lock up at Olde Main Brewing Company & Restaurant in downtown Ames where they placed phone calls to friends, family and co-workers requesting pledges for the MDA. Nate's efforts raised $340 for the charity and a grand total of $34,137 was raised with this event. The money raised will benefit families in Central Iowa. |

Client Appreciation Party
In July The Steve Bock Team invited all of our past clients to an appreciation party at Principal Park in Des Moines where the ICubs took on the Colorado Springs Sky Sox! Our guests were treated to a picnic, entertained by a clown, participated in free drawings, and enjoyed a great ballgame. The weather was beautiful! Here are some photos from the evening; we hope you enjoy them!

Relay for Life
In the spring of 2008 six people represented The Steve Bock Team in a Relay for Life walk at Gilbert High School. Sponsored by Gilbert's Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), the walk raised over $13,000 for cancer research. We were proud participants!

It's our job to know EVERYTHING about real estate! Ask us anything. There are no dumb questions! It's FREE, and we promise to get back to you quickly...
About Appraisals >The Language of Real Estate Agents
Technical terms can be confusing to people who do not work in a profession, and real estate agents use language that may be confusing to many home buyers and sellers.
If you find your eyes glazing over when your real estate agent starts talking about escrow, clear title, easements, encroachments, contingencies, financing, appraisals and the closing process, don't hesitate to ask for a translation. Buying or selling a home is a major step, and professional real estate agents are totally committed to helping you understand the process thoroughly so that you can make informed decisions.
The simple transaction of trading the sellers' house for the buyers' money has become complicated by several hundred years of custom, common law, and state and local government requirements. Consumer demands have resulted in up-to-date rules that communication be as clear and understandable as possible. Real estate agents work to create an atmosphere in which you feel comfortable to ask questions.
